The Louisiana Housing Alliance (LHA) held its 2013 Affordable Housing and Community Development Awards program Friday, January 24, 2014 at Boudreaux’s in Baton Rouge. The event was held to celebrate the people and organizations that work to preserve and expand the supply of homes affordable to low and moderate income Louisianans, and improve the quality of life in neighborhoods and communities throughout Louisiana. Recognizing that the nominees, and their peers, are rarely recognized for their work in revitalizing Louisiana’s many distressed and underserved communities, LHA holds this annual event to thank these professionals for their hard work and dedication. LHA sought nominations from throughout the state, trusting that peers, colleagues, investors and others in our communities knew of the good work going on and could make that known to LHA. This call resulted in 11 nominations in the categories of Innovation, Excellence and Champion of Affordable Housing.
